HONEY GINGER CHICKEN WINGS

35 minutes | 10 ingredients | 4 servings

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/3 lbs Chicken Wings

  • Sea Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)

  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce

  • 1/3 cup Water (divided)

  • 2/3 tsp Chili Flakes

  • 2 tbsps Honey

  • 1 1/3 tsp Ginger (fresh, grated)

  • 2/3 tsp Cornstarch

  • 1 1/3 tbsps Sesame Seeds

  • 1 1/3 stalks Green Onion (sliced, for garnish)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425ºF (220ºC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Season the wings lightly with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until cooked through.

  3. Meanwhile, mix together the soy sauce, 3/4 of the water, chili flakes, honey, and ginger in a small saucepan. Bring to boil, then turn the heat down to simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes or until reduced by half.

  4. Mix the cornstarch with the remaining water to make a slurry and add it to the sauce. Simmer for one more minute to thicken and remove from heat.

  5. Toss the cooked chicken wings with sauce. Top with sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
