PIVOT + ENERGY
7TH ANNUAL
Pivot + Energy
CHALLENGE & FUNDRAISER
LEVEL UP
For the 7th year, Energy Fitness is joining forces to support Pivot's lifesaving work in Madagascar. Each year presents a new set of challenges - and opportunities - and we are excited to be a continued partner in their efforts. Together, with the support of our Long Island communities, we've raised nearly $150,000 in the past six years! This year we aim to level up and raise $15,000. It's not every day that you get to make such a direct impact on the lives of families on the other side of the globe. We hope you'll join us - every dollar donated will be MATCHED, for a total of $30,000 for the people of Madagascar!

HEALTH AS A HUMAN RIGHT
Driven by a commitment to health as a human right, Pivot combines quality healthcare services with rigorous scientific research to prevent needless suffering, strengthen public health systems, and shape scalable healthcare solutions for Madagascar and beyond.
MAKING AN IMPACT
Working closely with the Government of Madagascar, Pivot is helping those who suffer from inadequate health systems lead themselves and their families toward healthier lives. By measuring their impact on population health in Ifanadiana District since 2014, Pivot knows that their health system strengthening activities have supported a rise in healthcare access and meaningful change in key population health outcomes, such as child mortality, over the past 10 years.

Pivot in Madagascar
LEVELING UP
CARE 2.0 is the next phase in Pivot's Universal Health Coverage (UHC) strategy, now active in 33 health centers in Vatovavy Region, Madagascar. Launched in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, the initiative eliminates healthcare fees for children under 5 and pregnant women, who are the most vulnerable to health threats of the 400,000 people in the area. Removing the need to pay out of pocket, CARE 2.0 eliminates financial barriers to healthcare in a region where the majority of the population is living in extreme poverty (less than $1.90 per day), providing essential protection to families who would otherwise face catastrophic health expenses for accessing even the most basic health services.
The initiative also integrates a new digital tracking platform, enhancing patient data management and enabling Pivot researchers to gain real-time insights into healthcare utilization trends (i.e., who is and is not accessing care) and the impact of financial protection on population health. This advancement supports Pivot's mission to improve healthcare access and equity, and will provide key lessons to inform the eventual scale-up of UHC across Madagascar.
